Birth of GUCCI
Guccio Gucci, the founder of GUCCI, worked at one of London's finest hotels before starting the company. This hotel was a purveyor to the aristocracy, and Guccio Gucci was able to see up close the attire and behavior of the upper class celebrities who gathered at the hotel. I developed my aesthetic sense in such an environment. The philosophy he discovered was that ``the higher the price of a product, the more valuable it is to own it, regardless of the cost.'' After retiring, he leveraged his experience, aesthetic sense, and values to found a workshop that handles travel bags and horse harnesses. This is how the history of GUCCI began.
